You spoke of group projects as one type of assessment that is used in distance learning. I tend to find group projects in an online class very difficult due to the asynchronous nature of the classes that I take. They are not convenient because my time zone is 6-9 hours ahead of my classmates. But it is also frustrating to have to depend upon classmates to do their part of the project. In your research, did you run across any reference to this? In my project on student engagement in distance learning, researchers stated that student engagement in online classes increased when group projects were used because the team members felt a sense of responsibility to the group ( Moore & Gilmartin, 2010). I wonder about that because so often I have been in a group where people do not pull their weight of the work. Just curious.

First and foremost, I liked the graphics you used throughout your presentation. Additionally, providing information on the various entities/people that use assessment was very important. The point that resonated most with me answered the question, "How can instructors effectively assess students?" As with all learning environments (online and face-to-face), it is crucial that instructors provide prompt feedback. Students become anxious when grades and feedback are not provided in a reasonable time frame.
Your presentation is very engaging. Your choice of background and fonts are easy to read and follow.
Job well done on learner assessments. Your presentation was very informative. Your choice of visuals and narration were authentice and very well projected to your viewers.
I especially liked how you spoke in a slow clear voice, enunciating and making sure your audience understood what you were saying throughout your presentation. I also liked how you summarized each section on one slide, then gave details on each section on successive slides.
I enjoyed your presentation and found it very clear, concise, and had a nice flow. I liked that you included assessments for group projects - this tends to get overlooked because of all the state testing that we give our students every year. The graphics were relevant and caught the audience's attention.
